Absolutely everything was perfect. The cottage was very clean & water & snacks were available. The grounds are very pretty.The host Sara was very good at answering any questions we had. Restaurants in walking distance had wonderful food. Peaceful. We would stay again for sure.

I rented the large sunroom for my friends baby shower today and it was the perfect place to have our Tea Party baby shower!! I have always loved The Dickey House and I’m glad I chose to have the party there! Sarah, the owner, was the best host I have ever worked with! She was super sweet and helped with anything I needed from booking all the way to the end of the party! She also decorated the tables before we got there and had a fresh pot of coffee made!! Great prices and great owners!! I can’t say anything but great things about this place! I’m looking forward to staying in one of the rooms soon!! If you are looking for a place for a baby shower or just a girls get together look no further!! The Dickey House is the way to go! You will not be discouraged!! Thank you for everything Sarah!
My husband and I stayed here while attending a conference. The room was clean and comfortable, the grounds were lovely, and the price was very reasonable. We would recommend The Dickey House for anyone staying in the area.
We really enjoyed our one-night stay. Our host met us at our front door at check-in. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful. The king-sized bed was comfortable. The small refrigerator and microwave were handy. The place was very clean. We relaxed as we walked the immaculately maintained property, and thought the mansion was stunning. It was Sunday, so the nearby restaurant was closed, but we had some food to enjoy with a bottle of wine in the room. Parking is secure and off the street with more parking available just across the street from the Dickey House. We'll be back.
Very convenient. Room could use better lighting overall but that is the only negative comment. Comfortable and quiet staying here.
Sarah greeted us upon arrival was super friendly and extremely helpful with any needs we had. My husband and I were visiting from Akron, Ohio and she stayed in contact with us by text message. All of our check-in info was supplied prior to our arrival. The garden suite, was spacious, clean, well stocked with towels, soap and shampoo/conditioner. The room was nice and cool as it was extremely warm outside. Very quiet and peaceful stay! I would highly recommend this Airbnb! We look forward to seeing Sarah again soon
We stayed in the Queen Anne suite and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Comfy bed, amazing jetted tub, beautiful place. I will have to try to book for next year as well!
